Memorial Run is ready to roll in Bunclody

-

CAR ENTHUSIASTS from all over the South East will be arriving in Bunclody on Sunday to take part in the Aaron Chip Byrne Memorial Classic and Modified Car run.

Aaron passed away at the tender age of 24 in August of 2015 after a lengthy battle with kidney illness. An extremely popular young man, he was a real petrolhead and had a great love of all things automotive, particularly Japanese cars with his Honda Civic being his pride and joy. Despite battling illness a lot of the time, Aaron was always ready to drop everything and head off to a car show or rally.

For this reason, it was decided that a car run would be the ideal memorial for Aaron and following on from a successful inaugural event last year, organisers are expecting to have even more classic and modified cars on the roads around Bunclody this Sunday.

All money raised will go to The Irish Kidney Association and Crumlin Children’s Hospital. The fun will get underway at the GAA Grounds in Bunclody from 11 a.m. on Sunday, August 20, when check-in takes place and the run will move out at 2 p.m.

The cost of entry is €20 per car which includes entry into the raffle and a barbecue in The River’s Edge and there will also be prizes on offer on the day for best show and shine. For more details, see the Aaron Byrne Memorial Run 2017 Facebook page or email chipmemorial@gmail.com.
