BUNCLODY HORTICULTURAL SHOW
The 66th annual Bunclody Horticultural Society Show and Exhibition will take place in Bunclody Vocational College, Irish Street, Bunclody on Saturday, August 19, with viewing of exhibits from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission Adults €2; children under 12 years (accompanied by an adult) 50c.
There are 131 Classes in this year’s Show plus 25 Junior Classes and seven Youth Classes. Show Schedules are available from Redmond’s, Main Street, Bunclody.
AARON BYRNE MEMORIAL RUN
The Aaron Byrne Memorial Run for Modified and Classic cars takes place from HWH Bunclody GAA Park, Church Road, Bunclody on Sunday, August 11. Check-in is from 11 a.m. and the run departs at 2 p.m. Entry fee is €20 per car includes raffle and barbecue. Funds in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital and the Irish Kidney Foundation. KIDS’ CLUB
Kids’ Club for primary school children will be held in Bunclody Soccer Club from Monday, August 21, to Friday, August 25, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Activities include Games, crafts, Bible stories, songs, quizzes, snacks and lots of fun. BVC SPLIT-THE-POT
Bunclody Vocational College split-the-pot draw continues to take place throughout the summer months. The next draw is on Friday, August 25. Envelopes are available in O’Reilly’s SuperValu, Eurospar, Ken Rothwell and Bunclody Credit Union. Your continued support is appreciated.

River’s Edge, Bunclody hosts bingo every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. Each month a €200 donation from the proceeds is made to a local charity. So if you enjoy a good night out, make your way to River’s Edge on any or every Wednesday evening.

Thursday, August 24, at 7 p.m. – ‘A Tale of the Whale’ with Jim Hurley – hear all about a whale stranded in Rosslare in 1891 the skeleton of which will be on display in the London National History Museum from the summer of 2017. CLASS OF ’77 REUNION
FCJ Secondary School, Bunclody Class of ’77 is holding a reunion in the Riverside Hotel, Enniscorthy on. Saturday, November 18. All those who did their Leaving Cert in 1977 at FCJ, Bunclody are invited to come along for dinner and a chat. Group coordinator Clare Byrne Doyle (087 4151350) would like to hear from those involved and especially from those who may not been in attendance at any previous class reunion. DROP IN YOUTH CAFÉ
FDYS, three Market Square, Bunclody will be the home of a new Drop in Youth Café on Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. If you are aged between 13 and 17 years drop in to our Youth Café every Thursday evening.
We will be doing indoor and outdoor activities, we have computers, wifi, music, games, arts and crafts etc.
