35 seperate indecent assault and sexual assault charges dating back to the 1990s

A 54-YEAR-OLD man from South Wicklow appeared before the District Court on a series of indecent assault and sexual assault charges.

Bunclody-based Garda Martin Kehoe confirmed that 35 separate charges dating back to incidents over a period from 1991 to 1996 had been put to the accused who made no reply.

The court was told that the DPP had directed trial on indictment to a higher court.

Bail was granted, with the condition that Bunclody gardaí must be notified of any change of address.
