Lo­cal au­thor at town’s li­brary

LO­CAL au­thor Shane Dun­phy will give a read­ing in En­nis­cor­thy Li­brary this Thurs­day night, Septem­ber 14.

Shane who is an award win­ning au­thor, jour­nal­ist and so­cial sci­ence lec­turer, will read from his first crime novel, Af­ter She Van­ished.

Pub­lished by Ha­chette, it is based on an idea he had as a col­lege stu­dent 25 years ago.

Shane a for­mer child and so­cial care worker, has pre­vi­ously writ­ten a se­ries of nine books which were in­spired by the tragic sto­ries he en­coun­tered in the course of his work, in­clud­ing Lit­tle Boy Lost and The Boy in the Cup­board and the best sell­ing Wed­nes­day’s Child, pub­lished by Pen­guin.

The read­ing takes place at 7 p.m.
