RIVERCHAPE­L LOTTO

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot; numbers drawn were 2, 4, 15 and 16. One winner matched three numbers winning €150: Colin Kilgannon.

The next lottery draw will take place in Ambrose Moloney’s, Courtown on the Wednesday, September 20. The lotto jackpot now stands at €4,700. Tickets can be obtained at different around Courton and Riverchape­l area.

WHIST DRIVE

Top score was won by Michael Duffy. Ladies’ section: First Eithine Kelly, second Betty Sugrue and Mary Lee, half time by C Keane. Gents section: first Thompson Byrne, second Brendan, third Noel Carter, half time by Marie Cushe. Whist drive takes place every Thursday night at 8.30 p.m. And all are made most welcome.

LIFEBOAT SHOP

The Courtown RNLI Lifeboat shop on the north pier in Courtown is open Monday to Friday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. And Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

Activities in the Riverchape­l Community Centre are as follows.

Little Rascals will re-open on Wednesday, August 30, from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. And will be open from Monday to Friday each week from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Should you wish your child to join, please contact Brigid at 087 9048644 who will be happy to give you further informatio­n.

RÉALT NA MARA GAA

Blotto Draw – There was no jackpot winner in last week’s Ballygarre­tt Réalt na Mara GAA Club blotto draw. The numbers picked were 2, 13, 14 and 26. The €20 lucky-dip winners were Jacinta Dunbar, Ellie.

May White, Margaret McGrath, Myra O’Loughlin, Wayne Moran. The five free tickets winner was Mairead Boggan. This week’s jackpot rose to €12,400.
