BREE YOUTH CLUB

Bree Youth Club has reopened on Friday nights. Junior Club will run from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. And Senior Club from 8.30.10 p.m. Young people wishing to join must be accompanie­d by a parent/guardian.

Parents are strongly encouraged to help with supervisio­n in the club. We ask one adult from each household to give just three hours of their time over the course of the club year to help with supervisio­n. With a little help from everyone we can continue to provide a meeting place for the young people of the parish and surroundin­g areas.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

The next social of Bree ARI will take place on Wednesday, September 20, at the usual times from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a committee meeting before the social event at 1.30 p.m. We wish our bowling team good luck in Killarney. For more informatio­n contact 086 0747823.

Bree CEP Project is currently recruiting for the following vacancies: General Maintenanc­e (two Positions) Ref CES 2028407, Childcare Worker (one Position) Ref CES 2028408, General Operative (one Position) Ref CES 2028410.

Please contact your local DSP Employment Services/Intreo Office to check your eligibilit­y and to apply for a vacancy quoting the relevant reference number. Eligibilit­y to participat­e on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over.

Applicants must also be in receipt of an Irish social welfare payment for one year or more. Garda Vetting will also be required for positions dealing with children, the elderly or vulnerable people.

BREE CHOIR

The choir in Bree Church has resumed after the summer break, New members are encouraged to join for Sunday mornings and for Christmas and Easter. You will be very welcome.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

Organisati­ons using or intending to use Bree Community Centre for the resumption of activities in September are asked to contact Eddie Dunne to confirm, book regular meetings, classes and events. This is to ensure that there are no overlaps or confusion around bookings.

RECYCLE UNITS

If the recycle units at the front of Bree Community Centre are full please do not leave bags, boxes of bottles on the ground in front of the units as they end up becoming a litter problem and also a hazard with broken glass. Please do not bring household refuse or any other type of rubbish up to the units as it will not be taken away.

BREE ICA

A Committee Meeting will take place in Bree Community Centre on September 12, at 8 p.m. On September 19, a full guild meeting takes place in Bree Community Centre at 8 p.m. Anyone wishing to join our guild would be very welcome.

GUITAR CLASSES

Guitar Classes, with tutor Kevin Doyle, will resume shortly in Bree Community Centre. If you are interested in joining please contact Kevin at 086 2237819.

BREE AC NEWS

Congratula­tions to Aoife Cloke Rochford on winning Wexford Athlete of the month for June. Congration­s also to Ryan Murray on being part of the Wexford Men’s Team which won gold in Division 1 of the AAI National League.

FITNESS TRAINING

Circuit Training continues with Collette Butler every Tuesday and Thursday evening in Galbally Hall from 7-9 p.m. Cost €7.50 per session or pay €13 on Tues for both classes! Bring a towel, water and a friend. Any questions contact Collette: 0863927655.

WHIST AT CWCW

There will be a whist drive in St Anthony’s Unit, Bellefield CWCW on September 29 at 8 p.m. The top score is €40 and tea will be served.
