Stage is set for Enterprise Town
MINISTER of State Paul Kehoe, Fianna Fáil TD James Browne and Municipal Authority Chairman Keith Doyle will be joined by a plethora of sports personalities at the Bank of Ireland sponsored Enniscorthy Enterprise Town event in the IFA Centre on Friday evening.
Among the names due to attend are Olympic boxer Adam Nolan, Wexford Senior Hurler Liam Ryan, All-Ireland finalist with Waterford Austin Gleeson and two the World 9 Ball Pool Champions Adam Maher and Ben Doyle from Enniscorthy.
The Enniscorthy Enterprise Town event is the second of its kind to be held in Enniscorthy and is designed to showcase what Enniscorthy has to offer in terms of industry, cultural and sporting activities and recreational facilities.
More than 40 stand holders will exhibit their wares during the event which takes place between 5.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. and which is open to the public. There is no admission charge and exhibition space, allocated on a first come-first served basis, is also free to exhibitors.
Bank of Ireland Manager Marguerite Murphy is confident that the event will prove a great success and support for the initiative has already exceeded expectations.
While exhibition space is at a premium, she has promised that disappointed entrepreneurs who fail to secure space at Friday night’s event, will be accommodated within the branch network in Enniscorthy during Enterprise Week in November.
Among the speakers at Friday’s event will be Karl Henry of Operation Transformation who will speak on health and well-being and Karl Fitzpatrick of South East Radio’s Business Matters who will chair a panel discussion with local food producers. There will also be live music, dance, presentations and activities for kids.
