It’s three on the trot for Rangers

Division1

Rosslare Rangers made it three wins from three in Division 1 as they bid to bounce back to the top flight at the first attempt.

On Sunday they overcame Ferns United 3-1, with Aaron Kehoe opening the scoring for the winners and Ciarán Heffernan grabbing their other two goals.

Division3

Gorey Rangers sit proudly on top of Division 3 after hitting Ajax Athletic for six on Sunday.

Cillian Cushe grabbed four goals in their 6-1 triumph, with Derick Woods helping himself to a double.

Enniscorthy Town made it three wins from three when inflicting the first defeat of the season on Cushinstown. Joe Hyland (two) and Eamonn Cash scored for Town, with Cushinstown replying through Robert Kehoe and Johnny Murphy and also missing a penalty.

Enniscorthy United matched their local rivals by making it three wins on the trot and they saw off Rosslare Port 3-1 with goals from Jamie Fox (penalty), Kyle Foley and Tyler O’Connor, with Jamie McMahon replying.

Mick O’Neill hit the back of the net for Shamrock Rovers as they drew 1-1 in Duncannon, while Bunclody overcame Bree United 3-1, with goals from Aaron Collier, Cian Cowman and Paddy Kavanagh.

Division3A

It’s tight at the top of Division 3A and Rathnure are among the pacesetters after a 2-0 win away to Shelburne on Sunday, with Anthony Westnott and A.J. Redmond getting their goals.

Oylegate United are joint top after their 2-0 win over Wexford Albion (see focus match), while Ballymurn and New Ross Celtic drew 2-2 after a great game, with Eoghan ‘Snowy’ Kehoe scoring twice for the hosts and Eoin Kehoe and Damien Cullen replying. Jean-Luc Tubritt was the hat-trick hero for Fethard Rangers as they drew 3-3 away to Rosslare Strand, with Danny O’Reilly (two) and Naomhan Rossiter replying for the hosts.

Jamie St. Ledger and Shane Dwyer got the goals for Rosbercon in their 2-2 draw with Rosslare Rangers, while Raheen and Bridge Rovers drew 1-1.

Division4

Corach Ramblers and Wexford Bohs continued their perfect starts to the campaign, with both sides making it four wins from four on Sunday.

Ramblers registered an emphatic 10-2 victory over Castledockrell, with MJ Doran bagging a hat-trick, Alan Diskin adding a double and Joe Sinnott, Jon Reville, Jimmy Colfer and James Crosbie netting a goal apiece, with an own goal completing their handsome tally.

Bohs were made to work much harder, as they edged out Curracloe United 2-1 thanks to goals from John Carty and Ciarán Walsh.

All Blacks chalked up a 4-0 win away to Caim United, with their goals coming from Mark Doyle (two), Ian Redmond and an own goal, while Kenny Kavanagh and Davie Fenlon (two) were on the mark for Crossabeg as they drew 3-3 with Carne FC, with Leigh Aylward and Garry Walsh (two) replying.

Courtown Hibs saw off Ferns United 3-2, with Graham Greene (two) and Edmund Prudoski scoring for the winners, while Camolin won 7-2 away to The Ballagh, with Rob Molloy grabbing a hat-trick, Daryl Murphy adding a double and Jack Quinn and Sam Keogh also scoring.

Division4A

Glynn Barntown inflicted the first defeat of the season on Enniscorthy United, and they did it in style, winning 5-1.

Rioghan Crosbie opened the scoring midway through the first-half with a beautiful 25yard free-kick. Robert Dempsey made it 2-0 on the stroke of halftime and Barry Doyle grabbed their third after some fancy footwork from Trevor Berry enticed the goalkeeper and defender and he coolly squared for Doyle to finish to an empty net.

Dempsey got his second midway through the second-half and Shane Wilde netted the fifth, confidently stroking home a penalty after he had been taken down himself.

Thomas Brady grabbed a late consolation for United with a beautifully-flighted free-kick.

A goal from Kevin Murphy was enough for Cloughbawn to maintain their perfect start to the campaign, while Boolavogue saw off Wexford Albion, winning 4-0 win goals from Martin McDermott, Conor Kinsella, Paul Delaney and Ian Devlin.

Eoin Mythen certainly had his shooting boots on, as he scored five times in Campile’s 7-1 win over St. Joseph’s. Paddy Roche added a double, while Pa O’Brien replied for Joey’s.

Dillon Kenny got the only goal of the game as Gorey Celtic edged out Taghmon, while John Ryan netted a hat-trick for Tombrack as they earned their first points of the season by beating Wexford Celtic 3-0.

Division5

Enniscorthy Town continued their promising start to the campaign when seeing off Adamstown 3-1 on Sunday.

Ed McCabe got on the scoresheet for Adamstown, but Town came away with the points.

Niall Molloy netted both goals for St. Leonards during their 6-2 loss to Kiltealy Celtic, while Peter McSweeney got the goals for Camolin as they won 2-1 in Cushinstown, with Adam Bookle scoring for the hosts.

Stoney Rovers beat New Ross Town 2-0 with goals from Paul Delaney and Willie Banville, while Ferns United and Rosslare Port also picked up three points.
