KILLENAGH MEETING

There will be a Killenagh community meeting on Wednesday, November 1, in O’Brien’s pub at 8 p.m. The main topic will be the implementa­tion of a text alert system in the area and there will be a speaker from Muintin na Tire to address the group.

GAA CLUB NEWS

Blotto Draw – There was no jackpot winner in last week’s Ballygarre­tt Réalt na Mara GAA Club blotto draw. The numbers picked were 3, 14, 23 and 31. The €20 lucky-dip winners were Latoya Byrne; Amanda Murphy; Bernie Byrne; Gretta Doyle; Ger Byrne, Ballygarre­tt village. The five free tickets winner was Declan Dunbar. This week’s jackpot rose to €13,000.

BRIDGE CLUB

Come play bridge at Seán Óg’s Bridge Club, Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge every Thursday morning from 10 a.m. New members welcome. No partner required. We have joker system in operation. The annual open evening will take place in the school on Thursday, October 26, from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. All fifth and sixth class pupils and their parents/ guardians are especially welcome.
