THE LATE JOE CARTY

The death occurred at Wexford General Hospital on Friday, October 13, of Joe Carty, Ballindaggin. Deepest sympathy is extended to his son Con and daughters Mary and Gretta, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also to his nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends. His wife Molly pre-deceased him by four years. He was also pre-deceased by his sisters Maryanne, Lil, May and Kitty.

Joe, who was ill only a short time prior to his passing was a very popular member of the community and a true gentleman and at 89 years his enthusiasm for life and his energy was an inspiration for all. He was a very outgoing and positive person and will be fondly remembered for his jolly and pleasing personality. He was also a man of deep faith never missing Mass in Ballindaggin Church and a dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather, uncle and friend to all.

His passing will leave a huge void in the community. Joe was laid to rest in Ballindaggin Cemetery on Sunday, October 15, following funeral Mass St Colman’s Church where a large and representative attendance paid their last respects. May he rest in peace.
