Bunclody Vocational College’s next split-the-pot draw is Friday, November 17, Envelopes available in O’Reillys SuperValu, Eurospar, Ken Rothwell, Bunclody Credit Union and Bunclody Vocational College.

Bunclody Vocational College will hold a fashion show in the Millrace Hotel on Friday, November 24, Tickets at €10 each available through the school. A great night out is promised.

BUNCLODY MARKET

Bunclody Market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in St Aidan’s Hall and has stalls of different produce all produced in and around Bunclody. Stalls can be found in St Aidan’s Hall, Irish Street and Market Square, Bunclody on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please call in have a look. Tea and coffee served only €3. The Market are currently holding a raffle with 2 gorgeous hampers as prizes with proceeds in aid of Wexford Women’s Refuge. Your support will be very much appreciate­d.

Bunclody Market Christmas party will be held on Friday, December 8, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Come along and view the market. There will be Usborne Books, crafts, Knitwear, Unique Scarf Tops, Kindling, bric-a-brac and lots more, we will be having a mulled wine reception along with mince pies, free entry, raffle remember to shop local. If you can’t make it on Friday make sure call in and bring the kids along on Saturday, December 9, when there will be a special visitor Santy calling in to check that all the boys and girls are behaving. THE MONDAY CLUB

The Monday Club meets at St Mary’s Centre, Ryland Road, Bunclody on Mondays. Come and join us and brighten up your Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Throughout the year there will be informatio­n sharing, entertainm­ent, arts and crafts, guest speakers and many more topics.

Monday, November 13 – ‘Improve your gardening skills and pot planting’: With Fergal Joy, Glanbia, Bunclody.

Monday, November 20 – ‘Modern Technology’ FCJ Students will help you improve your skills on phone, tablet, laptop, etc.

Also ‘Christmas Arts and Crafts’ which will be on sale in the Millrace Hotel for the local Christmas Evening Market on Friday, December 1, Monday, November 27 – ‘Christmas Arts and Crafts’ With Anne from Lily Bloom.

Entrance Fee is €4 which includes tea or coffee and Light Lunch. This Club will suit the 60+ age group. Transport not provided.

WHIST

Whist is on Monday evenings in Bunclody Day Care Centre, Ryland Road. First deal 8.45 p.m.

BINGO

River’s Edge, Bunclody hosts bingo every Wednesday night at 9 p.m.

Each month a €200 donation from the proceeds is made to a local charity. So if you enjoy a good night out, make your way to River’s Edge on any or every Wednesday evening.

CHRISTMAS EVENING

Christmas Evening will take place on Friday, December 1, in the Millrace Hotel from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a wide variety of crafts on sale. For more informatio­n please contact Marianne Jackman, places still available.

REMEMBRANC­E MASS

The annual Remembranc­e Mass for people connected with the parish will take place in Bunclody on Friday, November 17, and in Kilmyshall on Friday the 24th both taking place at 7.30 p.m. If you wish to have someone remembered at these Masses, please contact the parish office in Bunclody 053 9376190 or Kilmyshall 053 9377188 More details closer to the dates.

TOURIST OFFICE

Bunclody Tourist Office is open 7 days per week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The number of visitors calling into the office looking for informatio­n is remaining higher than initially expected.

If you would like to volunteer to help out in the Tourist Office please contact 087 1992892 and Úna will be only too happy to hear from you.

Bunclody Tourist Office is the only volunteer led Tourist Office in the south-east.

BUNCLODY LIBRARY

November 1 to November 30 – ‘Small Creatures’ exhibition – a selection of sculptures created by the local community of Bunclody through a collaborat­ion between the Arts Department of Wexford County Council and artBank, Bunclody continues at the library for the month of November.

In reality, however, the 12th century was already a period of economic and social change before the arrival of fitz.

Bunclody Parent and Toddler Group meets on Wednesdays From 10 a.m. to midday in St Aidan’s Hall, Irish Street. Admission €3. This is a great place to meet other.parents in a nice relaxed atmosphere.
