LOCAL HERITAGE
An illustrated journey of the River Derry is now on Clonegalkildavin.ie website. It is from the source at Eagle Hill (Hacketstown) to joining the River Slaney at Kildavin. The journey includes maps, photographs and each townlands the Derry travels through. Photographs, research and translation of the townlands into Irish plus their meaning is by Margaret Grant. The commentary is by Oscar Grant. Slí na Sláinte – Clonegal: This is an illustrated walk around the Heart Foundation established walk in Clonegal. Dan Murphy provided photographs, commentary and history for the journey. It is very interesting to read and view on the website and hopefully it will encourage you to explore and walk the route. Kildavin Loop: This is a walking route devised by Enda Smyth. It is an eight Kilometre walk around Kildavin and the surrounding townlands. Photographs, commentary and history are also provided by Enda. It is a very interesting walk with beautiful views and much history to absorb.
REMEMBERING OUR DEAD
At the 6.30 p.m. Mass in Clonegal on Saturday, November 11, and on Sunday, November 12, at the 11.30 a.m. Mass in Kildavin, all who have died over the past year will be remembered. A candle will be lit in memory of each person. Lord receive them into your presence, may they know the fullness of your peace and rest in your eternal love.
MEMORY WALLS
It is that time of year again. The Clonegal-Kildavin Veteran Players will be holding the remembrance ceremonies at the Memory Walls in Kildavin and Clonegal in November. Details will be announced later. Anybody wanting to add a plaque to the wall in Memory of their loved one, please contact Margaret at 087 8380018.
SONG AND STORY
The house of Song and Story take place on Monday, November 20, in St Brigid’s Hall, Clonegal at 8 p.m. All are most welcome.
THE MONDAY CLUB
Monday, November 13: Improve your gardening skills and pot planning, with Fergal Joy, Glanbia, Bunclody. Monday, November 20: Modern Technology, FCJ students will help you improve your skills on phone, tablet and laptop. Monday, November 27: Christmas Arts and crafts, with Anne from Lily Bloom. Entry fee is €4, which includes tea or coffee and light lunch. This Club will suit the 60+ age group. Transport not provided.
CHRISTMAS MARKET
Christmas Market will take place on Sunday, November 26, from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Bunclody Golf Club, raffle in Aid of Bunclody Day-care. For more information, please contact Marianne Jackman at 087 9026986.

Bunclody Christmas Evening will take place on Friday, December 1, in the Millrace Hotel from 4.10 p.m. with a wide variety of crafts on sale. For more information, please contact Marianne Jackman, places still available.

Bunclody Market Christmas party will be held on Friday, December 8, from 7.10 p.m. On Saturday, December 9, a special visitor ‘Santa’ will be calling in to check that all the boys and girls.
