Twenty-three ladies played in the Seniors’ competitio­n held on Monday, November 6.

Results: 1, Una Seaver (32), 25; 2, Geraldine Draper (24), 23 (back six); 3, Margaret Hearne (16), 23.

Fifty-six played in the 14-hole singles stableford competitio­n held on November 4 and 8.

Results: 1, Leonie Furlong (13), 30; 2, Madge Murphy (18), 28; 3, Cathríona Walsh (13), 27 (back seven).

Patricia Hillis (22) won the ten-hole competitio­n with nine points. Nearest the pin was Margaret Hearne (16’ 8”).

On Wednesday, November 15, at 8.30 p.m. there is a table quiz in the clubhouse in aid of SERT (South East Radiothera­py Trust). SERT provides a daily voluntary transport service from Wexford to Whitfield Radiothera­py Clinic, Waterford.

There will be great prizes and a monster raffle, so come along and support this voluntary service. Wexford Cabs are providing a free taxi service home, within the boundary of the Ring Road, after the quiz.

Do not forget the A.G.M. of the ladies’ section will take place on Wednesday, November 22, at 7.30 p.m. in the clubhouse.

The executive committee have also called an E.G.M. for Monday, November 27, at 7.30 p.m. The purpose of the E.G.M. is to discuss the proposal for the future management of the club (including bar and catering facilities), excluding the course.

The decisions made at this meeting will impact on the future running of your club, and therefore your attendance and participat­ion is very important.
