GAA CLUB HISTORY

Half-Way-House \ Bunclody GAA Club has started to collect photograph­s, memories, newspaper clippings and so on to compile a comprehens­ive history of the club. KIDS’ CHRISTMAS CLUB

CLOHAMON MEETING

Following the recent meeting in Clohamon regarding the proposed relocation of Clohamon Polling Station, a number of people have agreed to take up a petition to Keep Clohamon Polling Station in Clohamon School. If you wish to sign the petition, please contact Barty O’Connor, Clohamon.

BUNCLODY LIBRARY

Continuing till December 31 – ‘Small Creatures’ exhibition – a selection of sculptures created by the local community of Bunclody through a collabora- tion between the Arts Department of Wexford County Council and ArtBank, Bunclody, continues at the library for the month of November.

Continuing till December 31 – ‘ArtBank’ exhibition of a selection of paintings by various artists – well worth a look.

On Wednesday, December 13, from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. the Polar Express Storytime for five- to eight-year-olds. Join Yvonne for a magical Christmas story time.

On Thursday, December 14, at 7 p.m. there is Christmas Floral Arranging with Una Butler. Join Una for this ever popular event. Booking essential.

On Saturday, December 16, from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. – Gymboree with Darina Gleeson for babies – five years. Join us again for this ever popular Gymboree for babies and children up to five years old. Places are limited so book your place early. Regular Adult Events

Junior Reading Circle ‘Book Cave’ is on Thursday, November 30, at 4 p.m. Adult Creative Writing

The adult creative writing group ‘Drop of Ink’ meets next on Thursday, December 21, at 7 p.m. New members are always welcome.

Regular Toddler Story Time – Join us on Friday mornings at 11 a.m. Come along with your toddler or preschoole­r for stories, rhymes and songs.

THE MONDAY CLUB

The Monday Club meets at St Mary’s Centre, Ryland Road, Bunclody on Mondays. Come and join us and brighten up your Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Throughout the year there will be informatio­n sharing, entertainm­ent, arts and crafts, guest speakers and many more topics.

Entrance Fee is €4 which includes tea or coffee and Light Lunch. This Club will suit the 60+ age group. Transport not provided.

PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Bunclody Parent and Toddler Group meets on Wednesdays From 10 a.m. to midday in the Millrace Hotel, Admission €3. This is a great place to meet other parents in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Please note change of venue.

WHIST

Whist is on Monday evenings in Bunclody Day Care Centre, Ryland Road. First deal 8.45 p.m.

BINGO

River’s Edge, Bunclody hosts bingo every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. Each month a €200 donation from the proceeds is made to a local charity. So if you enjoy a good night out, make your way to River’s Edge on any or every Wednesday evening.

BUNCLODY MARKET

Bunclody Market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in St Aidan’s Hall in Irish Street. This is a wonderful welcoming place to meet friends, get a warming cuppa by the fire and to pick up local produce, baking, books, crafts etc. Some stalls are also at Market Square each Saturday and add to the colour and activity of Bunclody town. Come along and see for yourself.
