ON YOUR MARKS FOR 10K RACE

THE ENNISCORTH­Y 10K TAKES PLACE ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 11

MEMBERS of Slaney Olympic AC are well and truly limbering up as the countdown is underway for the Enniscorth­y 10k which hits the road on Sunday, February 11. Organisers of the event were joined by official sponsors Creane & Creane Insurance and Donohoe’s Skoda in showing off the official t-shirts for the 2018 event at the Skoda showroom at Quarrypark.

Always a favourite on the running calendar, the event has already garnered significan­t interest with a lot of people having already signed up online. The race has a full AAI permit and is chip timed giving you every opportunit­y to smash that personal best! There’s always a great atmosphere at the start and finish line and post race refreshmen­ts will also be offered, along with the special souvenir t-shirt for all finishers.

As well as this, there are also some great prizes up for grabs with €250 for the first man and woman across the line and €250 course record bonuses. There are also prizes for first under 20, over 40, 50, 60 and 70, as well as a €200 prize for first men and women’s teams.

The race gets underway at 12 noon and people are encouraged to sign up in advance to avail of a €5 discount. The cost of entry up to February 9 is €15, with the cost being €20 from that point on and on the day.
