Best wishes to the Capers team taking part in the all-Ireland Finals in Mallow, Co Cork on Saturday night next, February 3. The Bree Show, representi­ng Wexford and Leinster, will be on stage first of six shows competing from Cavan, Tipperary and Cork (3) on the night.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Best of luck to the two chess teams competing in the county final on Thursday next, February 1. SCHOOL ENROLMENTS

SN Seosamh Naofa, Bree are now accepting enrolments for September 2018. Enrolment packs can be collected at the school office or you can call the office (053 9247725) for a pack to be posted out. Please return the completed enrolment forms by January 31.

The school is also seeking informatio­n for potential enrolments for future years. Please contact the school office to let us know.

BREE AC

Well done to the three Bree AC teams who won medals in the Co Cross Country Relays in Wexford Town on recently. Gold medals winners were the boys under-10 team of Jayden Kenny, Shane Laffan, PJ Breen and Jack Doyle. Silver medal winners were the under-12 team of Keira Wilson, Ciara Laffan, Maura Doyle and Katie Doyle. Bronze medal winners were the girls under-10 team of Riona Kehoe, Lea Bolger, Sofia Furlong and Meave Hennebry.

Best wishes to those taking part in day one of the Leinster Indoors in Athlone on Saturday, February 10. Closing date is Monday, February 12, for Days 2 and three of the Leinster Championsh­ips. See Athletics Leinster website for details of programme.

SMART FITNESS

Smart Fitness continues each Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7 p.m. and on Friday morning s at 10.45 a.m. in Galbally Hall. There is a beginners session ‘Get Fit Swinging’ on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. This is suitable for total beginners and those with a basic fitness level. They have a seven-week weightloss challenge running at the moment.

A new Saturday morning Bootcamp takes place at 10.30 a.m. for one hour training and a cuppa or a healthy shake afterwards. For further details contact Collette at 086 3927655 or Facebook ‘Smart Fitness with Collette’. Cost is €7.50 for one class, €13 for two classes or €20 for any three classes.

BREE PARISH JOURNAL

Bree Parish Journal No 18 is now on sale. The journal covers many of the events and activities in the area over the past two years as well as a number of items of historical interest. The cost of the journal is €8 and it is available in Byrnes Bree, Keeleys Ballybrenn­an, Londis Tomnalosse­t, Mace Killurin, Kavanaghs and Greenes Clonroche, Freeman’s Oylegate and also in the Bookshops in Enniscorth­y and Wexford.
