STORYTELLING
The Bunclody Storytelling night for January was cancelled when news of the sad passing of Frances Carroll reached us. Fanny has been a staunch member of Bunclody Storytelling, indeed she is one one of our own.
Instead of storytelling, friends of Frances gathered in St Aidan’s Hall to remember, reminisce and to share stories of Fanny’s life with us. Friends gathed from Kicullen, Co. Kildare, Carlow, Tullow, Ballon, Kildavin, Kilrush and many more places to have a cup of tea and remember her.
As a mark of respect there was no music, no songs and no yarns, just a time to remember, to recall her laughter and friendship, the Light of Heaven to her.
Andy Doyle proposed a vote of sympathy to the Carroll Family on behalf of her storytelling friends in Bunclody and elsewhere on the loss of their beloved mother Frances, may she rest in peace in her beloved Bunclody.
Nostalgia was the theme of the night in St Aidan’s Hall, we will never forget you Fanny.
