Niall Harney got the goal for the Danescastl­e-based side in a 1-1 draw and the hosts prevailed in the shoot-out, coming out on top 4-3 to seal a magnificen­t win.

Enniscorth­y United’s second string comfortabl­y progressed to the second round of the Wexford Volkswagen Cup when overwhelmi­ng Rosslare Port ‘B’ on Sunday.

United ran out 5-0 winners, with goals from Mario Salveta, James Sheridan, Kyle Lacey (two) and Darren Walsh.
