LADIES’ CLUB

The Ballyduff Ladies’ club are meeting on February 14 at 8 p.m. in Clonee GAA Club. New members are always welcome.

ENROLMENT EVENING

Ballyduff National School invites all parents of prospectiv­e and current students to our open enrolment evening on Thursday, February 8, at 7 p.m. You will get the opportunit­y to visit our classrooms, interact with teachers and students and experience our warm and inclusive educationa­l environmen­t where all children feel welcome and develop their talents over a wide range of school activities. Children are encouraged to participat­e in community-based activities, sporting competitio­ns and academic and social events. Enrolment forms and informatio­n packs will be available on the evening. Fifth and sixth class Confirmati­on takes place in Ferns on Friday, March 16, at 2 p.m. and First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday, April 28, If there are any homes where Ipads, tablets or laptops are not being used the school would appreciate if they would consider donating them to the school for the children.

DEVELOPMEN­T GROUP

As Spring arrives focus returns to our beautiful area and all the work that needs to be done. Connie is spending every available moment working on building the new walls but so much stone is required it would be greatly appreciate­d if people could spare some time to help gather stone. Contact Kevin Walker/Doyle or Connie himself if you would like to help.

The AGM will be held in a few weeks time if anyone has ideas they’d like to share or if they’d like to help out it would be greatly appreciate­d.

MOBILE LIBRARY

The library will be in the school car park on Thursday, February 15, from 11.15 a.m. to midday.
