CPR AND AED TRAINING
Training session in CPR and use of AED Machine for Clonegal area and surrounding areas will be held on Monday, February 19, from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., venue to be confirmed. Cost is €10 per person, facemask and supporting materials included. The two-hour course is certified by the Irish Heart Foundation. The AED machine is located at Johnny Dunne’s Pub, right to the entrance. This is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, should it be required in the case of an emergency. To access the lifesaving equipment, enter the code 2222 and then press the green button.
DRAMA GROUP
The long wait is almost over, Kildavin-Clonegal Drama Group will stage their production of ‘Nobody’s Talking to Me’ written by Tommy Marren on Saturday and Sunday, February 17, and 18, in Spellman Hall, Kildavin at 8 p.m. So make a date in your diary for a night of fun, laughter and pure entertainment.
COMMUNITY ALERT
A Crime Prevention Meeting in conjunction with the Gardaí will be held in Conway’s Function Room, Kildavin on Thursday, February 25, at 8 p.m. Chief superintendent Dominic Hayes and other prominent members of the Gardaí will be in attendance. HUNTINGTON CASTLE
Snowdrop Week is on from February 17 to February 18. At Huntington Castle Garden, the original 17th century garden, the wilderness and parterre areas have undergone extensive restoration in recent years.
Highlights include the 500year old yew walk and number of champion trees. Within this setting are some charming woodland walks with snowdrops and spring plantings.
