KILTEALY ICA
Kiltealy ICA guild held their first meeting of 2018 on Thursday, February 1, president Eileen Brennan opened the meeting with a prayer and welcomed everyone. Elizabeth dealt with correspondence. Apologies from Patricia Coughlan, Anne Farrell, Biddy O’Leary and Kathleen O’Leary, who were unable to attend. Votes of sympathy were passed to Patricia Coughlan on the death of her husband Mick and brother Jim and to Anne Farrell on the death of her brotherin-law.
The next federation meeting will be on February 26 and the competition for that is for the nicest ginger bread cake. Some members will join with federation to ‘bomb yarn’ the Bullring in Wexford in March. Members will attend the craft fair in Coláiste Bride on March 24.
Hostesses on the night were Veronica and Biddy, who served a lovely tea. Margaret Quinn will be guest speaker at the March meeting talking on safety and security. Competition for March is for the nicest pot plant.

Please note the annual general meeting of Kiltealy Community Hall will be held in the hall on Monday night next February 12 at 8 p.m.
BALLINDAGGIN DEVELOPMENT
The AGM of Ballindaggin Development Group was held in Ballindaggin Community Hall recently. The following committee was elected for the coming year.
Chair Thomas Rafter, vice-chairman John Murphy. Secretary Joe Walsh, Assistant secretary Eamon Frayne. Joint treasurers Paul Redmond and Thomas Hipwell. The group aim to have monthly meetings on the first Friday of every month.
STORY HOUSE
Ballindaggin storyhouse takes place this Thursday, February 8, at 8 p.m. Great music, song and story. Admission free. Refreshments served.
SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to the family, relations and friends of the late Larry Purcell, The Oak Tree Bar, Foulksmills, who died on February 1 Larry was son of the late Thomas and Margaret Purcell, Kiltealy. Interment took place in Clongeen cemetery on Saturday last. May he rest in peace.
CAMOGIE CLUB NEWS
registration night for all players for 2018 will take place in Coolree tonight Tuesday, February 6, at 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. First child €25. Two children €45. Three or more children €60. Students €40. Adults €60. New members welcome. Players must be registered to take part in training and matches.
DUFFRY ROVERS LOTTO
The numbers drawn last week were 11, 16, 17 and 23. No jackpot winner. Three players matched three, Anne Doyle, Rob Frayne, Dora O’Leary. Sellers prizes went to Gerry Earle, Robert Rackard, Pat Ryan and Matt Mernagh. The draw tonight Tuesday, February 6, is in Rackard’s, Caim and the jackpot is €5,800.

The Ballindaggin senior citizens party will be held in Ballindaggin Community Hall on February 18 Full details later.
KILTEALY CELTIC
Kiltealy Celtic AFC had a great game against Enniscorthy recently, although Kiltealy were down to 10 men after 10 minutes they battled on to draw with Enniscorthy 1-1. They now have 10 league games to go. Well done to all.
MASS OF ANOINTING
The annual Mass of anointing and healing will be celebrated in Kiltealy Community Hall on Wednesday, February 14 (Ash Wednesday) at 2 p.m. All are most welcome. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for us. Blessed Ashes will be available at the Mass.
