The winner of split-the-pot drawn in the Cloch Ban was Margaret Donohoe, Killegney, the pot was €286, remember 80% stays local and a winner each week.

CAMOGIE CLUB NEWS

Congratula­tions to three members of Cloughbawn camogie club, Rachel Greene, Julie Furlong and Caoimhe Kehoe, who are part of Co. Wexford camogie four teens, this is a new group of young girls promoting Wexford camogie for all ages. camogie four teens were nominated for a special award recently and came out as winners. The girls will attend the awards ceremony in the coming weeks. All three Cloughbawn ladies played a very active role in promoting camogie on social media, in particular photos and promotions from Féile 17 and underage camogie matches. Well done girls and enjoy the celebratio­ns.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Bree-Davidstown Community Games 2018 season got off to a great start when the under-10 Draughts team became Co Champions on Saturday night last. The team of Riona Kehoe, Oisin Harte, Fergal Doyle, Matthew Jordan and Sacha McCauley finished undefeated of the six teams taking part in the finals which were held in Bree Community Centre. They won four of their matches as well as finishing on level terms in a fifth. This was the first time in sixteen years of the under-10 Co Draughts competitio­n that a local team won this event. Best wishes to the team with subs Luke Jordan and Roise Fraser in the upcoming intercount­y rounds.

The local Community Games was represente­d by three other teams in the county finals. The under-14 team of Katie Doyle, Cillian Dempsey, Travis McCauley, Odhran Kehoe and Luke Jordan were runners-up in their competitio­n and won the silver medals. The under-12 team of Nathan Doyle, Cathal Ennis, Conn Fraser, George Murphy, Charlie Kehoe and Clodagh Kehoe and the B under-10 team of Roise Fraser, Rosanne McCauley, Eva Dempsey, Muireann Kehoe and Sarah Jordan all played well but were not among the placings. Bree-Davidstown Coaches and Managers for the Draughts are Jim Doyle and Martin Humphrey.
