MONTHLY PARISH DRAW

The winners in Glenbrien Parish draw for January were as follows. First prize, John and Eleanor Burke. €40 each: Séamus and Peggy Ryan, Dave and Bernie Doyle, John and Bridget Atkinson and Adam and Breda Quinsey. Congratula­tions to all. SOCIAL DANCING

The next date for social dancing is on Sunday, February 11. Music on the night is by K-Jo Country, who make a welcome return to Oylegate. Dancing is from 9.30 p.m. Admission is €8. Come along for a lovely night of music, and dance.

HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL

A very Big THANK YOU to all the parents who sent in baked goods and to all those who helped out at the Grandparen­ts’ Day reception. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all grandparen­ts, grandfrien­ds and children.

We are delighted to announce that Holy Family Glenbrien parents’ associatio­n Bingo Raffle Fundraiser will start Thursday, February 8, at 9 p.m. in Mernaghs Oylegate during their weekly bingo night. Many thanks to Eamon and Sue Mernagh for giving us this opportunit­y to fundraise for 10 consecutiv­e weeks. All proceeds of the raffle will go towards funding for the Swimming, School buses, and the Children’s school tours. We are asking all parents, family.

And members of the community to come along for a good social night out and a bit of fun. There’s always bingo money to be won. There will be a basket left in the school hall for anyone who wishes to donate prizes for the raffle.

All donations gratefully received. Many thanks and here’s to 10 weeks of fun at the bingo.

OPERATION TRANSFORMA­TION

Come along and join us on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.

This is open to Everyone in the community, meeting at the school at 9.00 and walking around the Block One Euro donation for each walk and all money raised will go towards the purchase of a Difibrilla­tor for the parish. Please bring a hi-vis vest if you are walking Thanks.

SENIORS PARTY

This yeaer the annual dinner will take place in the Old School Centre on Sunday, March 11, at half past one, all senior members of the community are all invited. The members of the committee and the collectors of the Parish Draw will be distributi­ng Invita- tions in the next few weeks. More informatio­n in the coming weeks.
