Driver and passenger are fined

TWO residents of the same house sustained convictions after Garda Carl Breheny intercepted the vehicle in which they were travelling on March 28 last.

The driver at Springvalley on that date was Mary Connors (55) of The Arches, Esmonde Road, Enniscorthy. She was a learner permit holder on the road without a qualified driver – fine €150.

With her was Jerry Connors (55), also of The Arches, who was not wearing his safety belt – fine €80. Neither was present to hear the evidence provided by Breheny to Gorey District Court.
