Van driver was on the phone

SELF-EMPLOYED 35-year-old Andrew Kehoe of 11 Cluain Caisleán, Ferns was represented by a solicitor at Gorey District Court.

The lawyer entered a plea of guilty on his behalf, admitting that he held a mobile phone while driving through Ferns last May in a white Peugeot Partner van.

Kehoe attempted too late to pay the postal charge, so the matter went to court where a €90 fine was set by Judge John Cheatle.
