Passenger had no seat belt

TRAVELLING as a rear seat passenger cost 77-year-old Patrick O’Reilly from Brownswood a fine of €120.

The penalty was imposed after Judge John Cheatle leaned that O’Reilly was not wearing his safety belt at Ballymackessy on April 19 last.

Gorey District Court also heard that the accused had a number of previous motoring convictions and had been banned from driving for 30 years by a judge in Dublin.
