Public order conviction
A PUBLIC order conviction was imposed in his absence on Myles Doyle (24) from 81 Pearse Road in Enniscorthy.
When the case was called at the District Court, solicitor Ed King offered a plea of guilty.
He explained that Doyle was not in attendance as he was serving a sentence in Midlands Prison for a criminal damage offence.
The court learned how the absent accused was found in a highly intoxicated condition on Slaney Street on June 4 last. He was arrested for his own safety and the charge alleging public intoxication followed.
Doyle had no previous convictions for such misconduct, Judge John Cheatle was assured, before a fine of €100 was handed down.
