Enniscorthy C.B.S. in Duff Cup decider

THE ENNISCORTHY C.B.S. Junior rugby team beat Gorey C.S. by the smallest of margins in Tullow recently in the Duff Cup semi-final.

The game finished 8-7 in what was a very tight encounter.

Conal Kervick got C.B.S. on the board eight minutes into the first-half when he sent a penalty between the posts.

An unconverted try followed ten minutes later after several phases, scored by Conor Murphy.

Gorey C.S. bounced back in the second-half when they scored a converted try ten minutes in.

A brave defensive effort along with good discipline saw C.B.S. over the line. A lot of credit must also go to Gorey whose defence was outstanding.

C.B.S. now face Dundalk Grammar School in the final which will be held in Donnybrook this Wednesday at 12 noon.
