BALLINDAGGIN STORYHOUSE
There was a smaller attendance than usual at Ballindaggin Storyhouse on Thursday night last due to weather conditions, bereavements and illness but a great night was enjoyed with top class entertainment, great music, songs and stories.
On a sadder note sympathy was extended to the following: To Marie Doyle on the death of her aunt Marie Roche, to the Hanrahan family on the passing of their sister Kathleen Horan, to Lil Coleman on the death of her brother-in-law Pat Coleman, to Bridget Doran on the death of her sister-in-law Ita Doyle and to the Shannon family on the passing of Jim Shannon, Hacketstown. May they all rest in peace. prayerful good wishes were extended to all who are ill at present.
Congratulations and every success to Emily Sinnott (grand-daughter of Ted and Carmel) who will compete in the world step dancing competitions which she has qualified for, and to her very talented teacher Cait Doyle, Monbeg.
Ballindaggin Pipe Band will lead the St Patrick’s Day parade in London again this year, a great honour for the band and the parish. We wish them a safe and happy trip. Matt Murphy chairman of Wexford Comhaltas very generously donated two pairs of tickets for the Ceili House which takes place in the National Opera House, Wexford on St Patrick’s night. The tickets were raffled and the winners were Séamus and Nancy Sheil and Nick and Mary Jordan.

LATE HELEN WALSH
The death occurred on Tuesday, March 6, at the Elm Ward, St John’s Community Hospital of Helen Walsh, Monbeg, Ballindaggin. Deepest sympathy is extended to her brothers Mike, Tom and John and to her sisters Kathleen and Elizabeth, Also to her aunt, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.
Helen was daughter of the late Tom and Nora Walsh and had been in ill health for a long number of years. Prior to her illness she was employed by the South Eastern Health Board on the staff of St John’s Community Hospital, Enniscorthy where she had many friends and was dedicated to the caring and comforting of the sick during her career.
There was a large attendance at the removal of her remains from the Hospital Oratory on Wednesday to St Colman’s Church, Ballindaggin and also at her funeral Mass on Thursday after which she was laid to rest in adjoining cemetery. May she rest in peace.
