Easter in the Churches
THERE WILL be a number of church services across Enniscorthy over the course of Holy Week, leading up to Easter Sunday. Services are as follows:
ST AIDAN’S CATHEDRAL:
Holy Thursday
Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m.
Night Prayer at 10 p.m.
Good Friday
Children’s Service at 12 noon. The Lord’s Passion at 3 p.m. Prayer around the Cross at 7 p.m. Holy Saturday
Penance Service at 12 noon. Easter Vigil at 9 p.m. Easter Sunday
Easter Mass at 9.30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Parishioners are asked to please return Trocaire Boxes or envelopes on Good Friday, or as soon as possible.
ST SENAN’S CHURCH:
Holy Thursday
Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7.30 p.m. Followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Confessions will be available.
Good Friday
The Lord’s Passion at 3 p.m. with confessions available after service.
Stations of the Cross at Vinegar Hill at 6 p.m.
Saturday
Easter Vigil at 7.30 p.m. Easter Sunday
Vinegar Hill at 8.30 a.m. (weather permitting) Mass at 10.30 a.m. and 12 noon.
ENNISCORTHY AND MONART UNION:
Maundy Thursday
7.30 p.m. at St John’s, Clonmore – Holy Communion.
Good Friday
12 p.m. Ecumenical walk and prayers from Clone church to Monageer Roman Catholic Church
7.30 p.m. at St Paul’s, Templescoby – Evensong. Saturday
7 p.m. at St Paul’s, Clone – Easter Vigil.
Easter Day
9.45 a.m. at St Peter’s, Monart – Easter Eucharist
11.30 a.m. at St Mary’s, Enniscorthy – Easter Eucharist.
