Musical Society is ready to rock ’n’ roll!
LAUNCH OF ENNISCORTHY MUSICAL SOCIETY’S ‘ALL SHOOK UP’
EXCITEMENT is building ahead of Enniscorthy Musical Society’s latest rockin’ production ‘All Shook Up’ which will take to the stage at Coláiste Bríde from Tuesday April 3 to Sunday April 7.
This is the group’s 45th production and they always managed to put on a good show and capture the imaginations of their audiences.
This hit musical is inspired by and features the songs of the King, Mr Elvis Presley. Set in 1955, it centres on a ‘square’ little town in a ‘square’ little state. One day, in rides a young man with a guitar who changes everything and everyone he meets in this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes! Among the classic Elvis numbers featured are ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ meaning you won’t be able to help but tap your feet and sing along!
The play features an extremely talented cast under the direction of Imelda McDonagh with Kevin Kennedy as Musical Director and Anne-Marie Cooney looking after choreography.
EMS were delighted to officially launch the production at Holohan’s, where they also announced that Enniscorthy Credit Union would be coming on board as main sponsors.
A certain amount of early bird tickets are now available online at a cost of €12 each. After this, tickets will be priced at €15 for adults and €12 for under 18s. From Monday, March 26, bookings can be taken by phone on 087 4395057 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please note - no text messages or voicemails.
