Enniscorthy Credit Union advises early planning for a great garden this summer

-

APRIL is a great month for making plans for the garden. Spring is sprung and there is a stretch in the evenings. However, frosts can still be a hazard, so keep vulnerable plants protected at night if frost is forecast.

Saving in the credit union for the essentials of your garden plan is a great idea too. Or you can come in and have a chat about borrowing for your needs - for instance, if you are despairing of your old and worn-out lawn-mower, making new beds and borders, putting in a patio, planning a barbecue purchase. Loans are a big part of our business and it’s worth asking at the credit union or checking online at www.enniscorthycu.ie to see what might suit you. A credit union loan is competitive and you may be surprised how affordable it can be. See example below.*

Other gardening jobs to be done now are - you should find time to clean and repair your garden tools, book the lawn mower in for a service and check garden furniture for any rot. When it is warm enough, treat wooden furniture, sheds, fences and trellis with wood preservative. Brushes and rollers are fine for most jobs however it is worth considering a sprayer for tricky projects such as woven panels.

Remember Enniscorthy Credit Union is your community credit union for all your financial needs this year.

Together we’re stronger.
