Cloughbawn storm to top of the table

Division1

Draws were the order of the day in Division 1 on Sunday as the spoils were shared in both matches. Kilmore United and North End United played out a 1-1 stalemate, with Devin Furlong scoring for the hosts and Brandon Sinnott replying for the town side.

Elsewhere, Shelburne and Curracloe United also drew 1-1, with Brian Lynch hitting the back of the net for Shelburne and Mark O’Connor scoring for the seasiders.

Division2

Cloughbawn moved back to the summit of Division 2 after a 9-0 demolition of St. Joseph’s on Sunday.

Páidí Cullen and Willie Murphy both helped themselves to hat-tricks, with Johnny Cullen, James Dempsey and Kevin Murphy adding a goal apiece.

Martin Flynn and Brian Malone (two) got the goals for Killenagh Wanderers as they chalked up a 3-0 win over Fastnet Rovers.

Wexford Celtic and Stoney Rovers drew 2-2, with Philly Cullen and Dylan Redmond scoring for the former and Martin Delaney and Paul Delaney replying.

Division3

Enniscorth­y United extended their advantage at the top of Division 3 with a 4-0 win over Forth Celtic on Sunday, with Conor Heffernan netting a double and Kyle Foley and an own goal adding to their tally.

Rosslare Port moved into second place thanks to a 6-1 win in Bree, with Harry Corish and Seán Lawless both netting doubles and Jamie McMahon and Steve Redmond adding a goal apiece. Gorey Rangers also have promotion in their sights and they won 4-2 away to Shamrock Rovers, with Columb Sheridan, Derick Woods and Cillian Cushe (two) getting their goals and Josh Hogan replying with a double.

Division3A

Leaders Wexford Albion got another three points on the board on Sunday as they saw off Rosslare Rangers 4-0, with goals from Kyle Mann, Jay Leniston, Pierce Dooley and Luke O’Neill.

Raheen moved into second place after a 2-0 win over Bridge Rovers, with Peter Finn and Enda Wickham getting their goals.

Gerry Heanue (two), Patrick Cullen, Adrian Nolan and Richard Murphy got the goals for Oylegate United as they chalked up an impressive 5-1 win over Rosbercon, with Barry Ryan replying with a late penalty.

Division4

Leaders All Blacks were on cloud nine on Sunday as they cantered to a 9-2 win over Curracloe United.

David Moore and John Codd both netted hat-tricks for the winners, with Adam Devereux adding a double and Kevin Keating also getting in on the scoring act.

The Ballagh dented the promotion hopes of Corach Ramblers, with Nathan O’Hanlon and Ethan Freeman getting their goals in a 2-1 victory.

Division4A

Wexford Albion certainly had their shooting boots on last Sunday as they ran out emphatic 8-0 winners over Cloughbawn.

Mark Browne and Cian Rossiter both netted hat-tricks, while Ciarán Carty rowed in with a double.

Tombrack scored five goals without reply against Taghmon United, with Eoghan Murphy (two), Eoin Carton, Kevin Kenny and John Kavanagh all hitting the back of the net.

Alan Myler, Paddy Roche and Danny Murphy got the goals for Campile United in their 3-0 win over Boolavogue, while Jim Sheridan (two) and Bill Rigley hit the back of the net as Enniscorth­y United beat Ballymurn Celtic by the same scoreline.

Division5

Kiltealy Celtic took another step towards the Division 5 title with a hard-fought 3-1 win over St. Cormac’s on Sunday.

Mick Stephens, Stevie Watchorn and Patrick Somers got the goals for the table-toppers, with Jamie Doyle-Dempsey replying with a penalty for the saints.

Second-placed St. Leonards also picked up three points as a Matty Flynn double earned them a 2-0 win in Cushinstow­n.

Mark Flood, John Winters and Pippy Kehoe got the goals for Rosslare Port as they won 3-1 in Camolin, with Keith Crosbie replying.

Ferns United ran out 11-1 winners over Bree United, with Daniel Neagu and Wojtek Waligora both grabbing hat-tricks, Dillon Shannon chipping in with two, and Alfredo Barbu, Florin Cristina and Daniel Dulghuru (penalty) adding one apiece.

Killenagh Wanderers overcame New Ross Town 4-1, with Aaron Quinn, Stephen Doran, Darragh Quinn and Brian Cosgrave hitting the back of the net for the winners.
