ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN

The annual Spring Clean will take place on the weekend of April 7 and eight. Bags and some pickers are available at Byrne’s shop and also from Jutta O’Meara. All support for this worthy event, to help further enhance our village and surroundin­g roads, would be greatly appreciate­d.

TABLE QUIZ

The annual Easter table quiz will be held in Garry Byrne’s on Thursday next, March 29, at 9 p.m. The quiz this year is in aid of Wexford Academy Class Costumes. All support would be appreciate­d.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Best of luck to local area swimmers who compete in the Co Community Games Swimming Finals on Tuesday next, March 27, in Enniscorth­y Swimming Pool. Warm – up for all swimmers is11 a.m. Best of luck also to those competing in the quiz county finals on April 10 and to those taking part in the art, Model Making and Handwritin­g on April 14 Venue and times for these two events yet to be confirmed.

ATHLETIC CLUB NEWS

Best of luck to all Bree AC athletes competing in the National Indoor Championsh­ips this weekend. Indoor athletic training on Thursday evenings in Bree Community Centre has finished for this season. Training continues each Monday and Wednesday for registered Bree AC members. The outdoor season for Little Athletics will begin Wednesday, April 11, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the top field and con- tinue each Monday and Wenesday evening with the exception of Bank Holidays. Tractor Run.

The annual Galbally Tractor Run in aid of Galbally parish funds will take place on Sunday, May 27.

CLOTHING COLLECTION

Bri Beag will hold a Clothing, Household textiles and Mobile Phone Collection at Bree Community Centre on Thursday, April 12, from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. and on Friday morning, April 13, from 8.15 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. or you can drop your bag (s) into Bri Beag.

Items such as clothing, soft toys, shoes, handbags, belts, laptops, mobile phones, curtains, towels etc. will be accepted. Strictly no dirty or wet clothing, no duvets or pillows, carpets or mats and no books will be accepted. Thank you for your continued support.
