Raising a cup to a job well done in Ballymurn!

-

IT’S amazing how a cup of tea and a bit of community spirit can go a long way and that was certainly the case for three Ballymurn sisters as they handed over a cheque for €1157.50 to a great cause recently.

The money was collected at a coffee morning hosted by Margo Breen, Anne Kehoe and Martina Boylan in Ballymurn Hall recently and the grateful beneficiaries were those in the Birch View unit at the County Wexford Community Workshop (CWCW) in Bellefield.

The three ladies received great support for their venture and they decided to raise the funds for CWCW as another of their sisters, Mary Doyle attends the new unit there.

There was a great turn out on the day and everyone enjoyed a chat, a nice cuppa and some delicious sweet treats which were in plentiful supply.

The three sisters wished to thank everyone who got involved and helped in any way to make the morning such a success. The staff and management at CWCW were also extremely grateful to the trio for all their hard work and said that the money will be spent wisely on improving facilities for those who attend the unit.

‘We were delighted with the amount raised and want to thank everyone who contributed,’ said Margo. ‘The staff at the CWCW are hoping to use the money to make a garden around the unit, which will be lovely for everyone there.’
