Report from the Timmons Engineering sponsored Courtown outing 21st April.
We finally beat the weather by getting the best day of the year at the Timmons Engineering sponsored day at our rearranged outing to Courtown GC last Saturday. Due to the recent bad weather it was a 16 hole competition, local knowledge was a factor with Courtown members hovering up the majority of prizes, Pat Donnellan came out on top with a fine score of 29 pts playing off a handicap of 8 beating his daughter Sarah by one point, Sarah playing off 4 came in with 28 pts. Again we wish to thank Pat Timmons and Timmons Engineering for supplying fantastic prizes.
Here are the list of winners: Overall P Donnellan (8) 29pts. Category 1 - 1st S Donnellan (4) 28 pts; 2nd J Sugrue (9) 22 pts; 3rd J Dunne (14) 21 pts. Category 2 - 1st James Sugrue (17) 24 pts; 2nd B Thompson (22) 23 pts back nine; 3rd P J Naughter (24) 23 pts; Front nine D Kinsella (18) 14 pts; Back nine Joan Sinnott (17) 12 pts; Most improved golfer J Downey whose score will be kept in the archives.
