Get Going and Get Rowing with Edermine Ferry Rowing Club. Regular training for the 2018 season resumed on Monday, April 30, and they look forward to welcoming back current members and seeing lots of new faces too. Bree-Davidstown Community Games members from Davidstown NS take part in the Co Debating Final on Thursday next, May 3. No venue yet decided. The local Bree-Davidstown and Cloughbawn Community Games Sports takes place in Ballyhogue GAA Grounds on Thursday, May 24.

BREE YOUTH CLUB NEWS

All members are encouraged to bring friends and guests to club nights over the coming weeks to join in the activities on the night. The FDYS are holding a fun day on May 12 at 1 p.m. in Bree Community Centre. Open to all members of youth clubs in the county. On the day there will be lots of activities, music and food for everyone who attends.

DOG RACING

Bree United Soccer Club is hosting its annual ‘Night at the Dogs’ in Enniscorth­y Dog Racing Track on Thursday, May 17. Your support would be appreciate­d.

COMMUNITY PLAYSCHOOL

GALBALLY TRACTOR RUN

The annual Galbally Tractor Run in aid of Galbally parish funds will take place on Sunday, May 27.

A number of Bree AC members travelled to the St Senan’s Open Sports on recently. Medal winners were U9: Shane Laffan 3rd 80m; U10 Lea Bolger 1st 300m: Jayden Kenny 1st 300m, 2nd 80m; PJ Breen 3rd 80m, 3rd 300m U13: Abbie Doyle 2nd 80m. Boys U10 4x200m Relay; James Wall, Shane Laffan, PJ Breen & Jayden Kenny 1st.

The next three weeks of outings for club members will be St Abban’s Open Sports on Mon- day, May 7, Co Championsh­ips Day one in Enniscorth­y Hub on May 13 and Leinster Relays in Enniscorth­y Hub on May 20. Best wishes to all involved.

TEMPLE STREET FUNDRAISER

A fundraiser in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital will take place in the Talbot Hotel on Tuesday, May 15, at 9.30 p.m. Dance the night away to local artists Jimmy Hogan, Leslie Dunne and Blue Lace as well as the Moynihan Bros and others. Tickets cost €10 and are available on the door.
