Congratula­tions to the under-14 girls who qualified to represent Wexford at Féile in Galway on June 8/9/10. Please support our fundraiser­s over the coming weeks: Bingo on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. in Mernaghs. Teenage Disco May 5 at 8.30 p.m. in Oylegate Community Centre. Cabaret in Mernaghs Saturday, May 26, breakfast morning, Saturday, June 2, Oylegate Community Centre.

Also well done to the under-14 boys who also qualified for Féile. It’s a great achievemen­t for the club for both the hurling and camogie teams to be representi­ng Wexford at Féile 2018.

CONGRATULA­TIONS

Wexford and more importantl­y Glenbrien Lady Kathleen Stamp recently received an award from the Irish Greyhound Group Kathleen was honoured for her contributi­on to Irish Greyhound Racing.

Kathleen bought her first Greyhound pups 41 years ago and is still as enthusiast­ic today as she was back then. Well done Kathleen a great acheivemen­t.

SOCIAL DANCING

Next date for social dancing in Oylegate Community Centre is Sunday, May 13. Music on the night is by the popular Glen Flynn, who makes a welcome return to Oylegate. Dancing from 9.30 p.m. Adm. €8. Come along for a great nights dancing and music.

GAA DEVELOPMEN­T DRAW

The first GAA developmen­t draw was held on Thursday the 26th in the club house. The winners in the paid up members draw were Caroline Dunne Courtnacud­dy and Maggie Doran Borelia, who each won €200. The winners of the two monthly prizes of €100 each were Padraic O’Connor and Fiona Doran. The club is delighted with the support we received for this new venture and we hope the syndicate will be lucky over the coming year. Many thanks to all.
