PRIDE OF PLACE

Plans are under way in preparatio­n for Clonegal to represent Carlow in the Co-Operation Ireland National Pride of Place Competitio­n. Groups have been formed and are working on a presentati­on for their group. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 16, at 7 p.m. in St Brigid’s Hall. All groups and housing estates are invited to attend. Everyone is welcome.

The local lotto is now online. You can play it at kildavincl­onegalgaa.ie or the news page of the community website clonegalki­ldavin.ie. You can also download the myclubfina­nces app from the Google app store.

The profits from the lotto is supporting the Ben Mulhall Memorial Park Associatio­n and Kildavin-Clonegal GAA Club. Both organisati­ons provide magnificen­t facilities in the area. It is one of the few lotto’s which still allows you to choose from only 28 numbers increasing your odds of winning.

SPELLMAN PARK CLUB

The Spellman Park clubroom is currently being refurbishe­d. The club wishes to apologise to all its patrons particular­ly gym users and those hiring our facilities for disruption and thank you for your patience.

BEN MULHALL PARK

The Ben Mulhall Memorial Park Associatio­n meeting will be held in St Brigid’s Hall on Thursday, May 17, from 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Important Dates

First Holy Communion will take place in St Brigit’s Church, Clonegal on Saturday, May 26, at 11 a.m. and St Lazarian’s Church, Kildavin on Sunday, May 27, at 11.30 a.m.

KILDAVIN PARISH CHOIR

Kildavin Parish Choir Practice is held every Tuesday nights at 7.30 p.m. in the meeting rooms, Spellman Hall, Kildavin. All ages are welcome. For more informatio­n, please contact, Mary at 086 8097521.

THE MONDAY CLUB

Come and join us and brighten up your Monday mornings at St Mary’s Day Centre, Ryland Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Throughout the year we will have informatio­n sharing, entertainm­ent, arts and crafts, guest speakers and many more topics.

This Club would suit 60+ age group. Entrance Fee: €4 which includes tea and light lunch.
