The kettle is on for Hospice fundraiser

-

MEMBERS of the public are being encouraged to come along and enjoy a cup of coffee for a great cause this Saturday, May 26, as Oylegate Community Centre hosts its third annual coffee morning for Wexford Hospice Homecare from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Over the last two years, the event has been a great success and has raised a total of €8,850 in vital funding for Hospice, an organisation which is largely dependent on the goodwill of local people.

A spokesperson for the organising committee said: ‘We are delighted to be hosting our coffee morning again this year on May 26 and we are asking as many people as possible to come along and support us.

‘It has been a very enjoyable and well supported event over the last 2 years so we are hoping for the same again this year.

‘We will have lots of delicious refreshments on offer and we will also have a raffle with a large array of spot prizes to be won.

‘So many people require the services of the Local Hospice Homecare Team and they do such important work that we are just trying to do our bit to support them.’ HAVING provided many moments of drama on the pitch and countless friendships off it, Enniscorthy Utd AFC are set to mark a major milestone next week as they host a special 50 year celebration at The Riverside Park Hotel on Sunday, June 3.

There promises to be plenty of nostalgia for days gone by, looking at characters on and off the pitch, and there will also be a late bar and finger food on the night. Music will be provided by The Heartbeats from 9.30 onwards followed by a DJ who will keep the party going til late.

Tickets for the evening are priced at €10 and all club members, past and present, and friends of the club are invited to come along and join in the festivities.
