Motoring convictions and fines for various drivers
MOTORING convictions and fines were handed down by Judge Gerard Haughton sitting at the District Court in Gorey:
Bridget Connors from 7 Drumgoold Villas in Enniscorthy was convicted after her vehicle was found parked near a pedestrian crossing on Shannon Hill – fine €80.
Francis Maguire (46) of Woodlands, Marshalstown admitted he was not wearing his safety belt at Bellefield Road on August 16 last – fine €150.
Andy Moorehouse (28) from 1 Drumgoold, Enniscorthy was not wearing his safety belt while driving a Renault Trafic at Castle Hill in May of last year. He then failed to produce his driving licence as requested by gardaí – two fines, €300 each.
Tiberius Jacob (31) of 4 Riverview Court, Enniscorthy caused an obstruction when he parked in the slot reserved for buses on Templeshannon Quay on June 28 – fine €100.
Jonathan Cunniffe (42) of 4 Millfield, Ballycanew was seen driving through Clonroche one morning in March of last year with a mobile phone to his right ear – fine €300.
Karen Miller of 1 Urrin Valley, Enniscorthy was summonsed after her vehicle was clocked on the N11 at Brownswood in October travelling at 119 km/h – fine €300.
Martina Kearney from 26 Termonbarry, Hospital Hill, Bunclody was guilty of speeding in breach of Bunclody’s 50 km/h limit on September 27 last – fine €200.
