DRAMA GROUP NEWS

Congratula­tions to Kilmuckrid­ge Drama Group, who took part in the RTÉ all-Ireland Drama Festival in Athlone recently. Congratula­tions to Michael Murphy, who received a nomination for ‘Best Actor’ and to Mairead Cummings, who was nominated for Best Stage Management.

JOAN AND FRIENDS

On Sunday, June 1, there will be a Vintage Tractor Run in the Ballagh commencing midday €20 entrance fee. On the day there will also be a 5k Fun Run/ Walk at 4 p.m. (€10 per person). Music all day and night in Bob’s Bar, finger food provided after the Tractor Run. Proceeds to Alzheimer Society Ireland.

TIDY TOWNS

Volunteers are needed to help our village looking beautiful. The Tidy Towns will meet on Monday the 21st at 7 p.m. and on a weekly basis June September. Dates to follow. Come along on the night or contact a member of the committee.

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

The Circle of Friends’ annual outing this year on Thursday, July 5, is to Dublin, with a pleasure Cruise of Dublin Bay, touring around Dalkey Island, Dun Laoghaire and Lambay Island on route to Howth. On return to Kilmuckrid­ge we will be stopping for refreshmen­ts. Trip is open to anyone who may be interested. To reserve a place on coach please contact 086 6007543.

SWIM WEEK

Swim Week at Tinnaberna, Kilmuckrid­ge runs from Monday, July 23, to Saturday, July 30. Enrolment on Sunday, July 22, in the KMH from 10 a.m. to midday.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

There is a clothes collection on Monday, June 18, 9.30 a.m. Bags can be dropped into the Family Resource Centre Monday-Friday 9 a.m. 5 p.m. up to collection date. Any re-wearable clothes, paired shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels, bed linen, soft toys are accepted. Contact 05391 30393.

BRIDGE CLUB

Come play Bridge in Seán Óg’s Kilmuckrid­ge Bridge Club at the Upton Court Hotel, Kilmuckrid­ge on Monday evening at 7 p.m. Partner required. Also Thursday Morning 10 a.m.. No Partner required. There is a charity bingo night in the Crosses Kilmuckrid­ge every Thursday at 8.30 p.m. Next Bingo on Thursday, May 24, is for Kilmuckrid­ge Playground – jackpot €800. Free raffle.

Nursery - This continues on Saturday mornings in Buffers Alley indoor arena-Developing Movement skills, balancing etc. All boys and girls and their parents welcome.

MEN’S SHED
