COFFEE MORNING

There will be a coffee morning on Sunday, June 3, in the Parochial House and grounds from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Donations of home baking, home produce and raffle prizes would be very much appreciate­d and may be left in the Parochial house from 10 a.m. on the morning.

Proceeds in aid of church funds your support would be much appreciate­d.

Morning Mass on Wednesday and Thursday 9.30 a.m. Saturday 7.30 p.m. anniversar­y Mass for Bill and Katie Butler Tomathone and their sons Séamus and Noel. Eucharisti­c adoration on Wednesday 10 a.m. to midday.

First lady was Mary McCarthy, second lady was shared by Eilish Murphy and Breda O’Connor and half time lady was shared by Tess Enright and Deirdre Power. First gent was Donal Kavanagh, second gent was Marie Cushe, third gent was Betty Rose and half time gent was Seán Murphy. Raffle winners were Seán Murphy, Betty Rose and Breda O’Connor. Whist continues on Wednesday nights at eight.,30 p.m.

CE SCHEME

Rathpierce/Ballyfad Community Group wishes to recruit a community worker. The community worker supports local groups in the maintenanc­e of public areas and community buildings and assists in the developmen­t of new community projects. Hours are 19.5 per week.

This is a DSP sponsored Community Employment Scheme and applicants must meet DSP qualifying criteria. Some previous experience would be an advantage. Contract terms and weekly payment is as per DSP conditions for schemes. Applicants should contact Marie at 087 2223230.

BALLYFAD ICA

To celebrate 50 years of Ballyfad ICA the guild are organising a four-day tour of Donegal from Tuesday, June 19, to Friday, June 22, staying in the Villa Rose Hotel in Ballybofey. Attraction­s to visit include St Mel’s Cathedral, Doagh Famine Village, WB Yeats Grave and Drumcliffe Church Glenveigh National Park, Glemcolomc­ille Folk Village. Admission to all attraction­s in included in the overall price. GAA NOTES

Our two Féile teams are busy fundraisin­g at present, Our under-14 girls are heading off to the camogie/Hurling feile in early June while our under-14 boys are heading up north at the end of June. Your support for these two teams would be very much appreciate­d.

Well done to the first Adult Hurling team who had a good win over Buffers Alley in the past week. Space is at a premium on all pitches at the moment so there is lots to see and support any night in the Rock or Kilanerin Pitch.
