natural curiosity of the past and what came before. This is especially through on a local level, within the surroundings which we are most familiar. Thursday, June 14, at 7 p.m. – Biodiversity talk with Jim Hurley – Jim Hurley is a retired school teacher, naturalist and ‘Nature Trail’ columnist with this newspaper. In his talk, Jim will discuss the definitions of biodiversity, heritage and habitat, the present conservation status of Ireland’s natural heritage and protected areas in Co Wexford with a case study of one site: Ballyteige Burrow.

Half-Way-House/Bunclody GAA Club wish to thank all who supported the recent Model county Development Draw which is the main club fundraiser each year. ART BANK OPEN MIC
Art Bank Bunclody is delighted to announce that the forthcoming Special Grand Finale Open Mic Event for Mayhem 2018: Happytown Visual Arts Festival is being headlined by the internationally renowned musician, radio personality and art collector Niall Toner.
This event is the culmination of a series of visual arts exhibitions by Claudia Roche, Declan Cody, Kevin Ryan, Caoimhe Dunn, Jonathan Murphy and Ian McNinch.
Accompanying Niall on the Art Bank Stage will be a host of talent drawn from Bunclody and the townlands around. This special Open Mic features performances from Jennifer Uí Bhroin, Paul Farrell, John Mullins, Brian Toomey, Paul Redmond, Lauren Jordan, Mary Gibson, Dominic Taser Palmer and members of the Community Choir and many more to be announced.

The Monday Club meets at St Mary’s Centre, Ryland Road, on Mondays. Come and join us and brighten up your Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Throughout the year there will be information sharing, entertainment, arts and crafts, guest speakers and many more topics.
Entrance Fee is €4 which includes tea or coffee and Light Lunch. This Club will suit the 60+ age group. Transport not provided.
