Niall Kennedy (@niallbaskennedy): ‘Very well drilled @Galway_GAA team and cant help but think there only in 2nd gear and a day when the simple things have been difficult but its a long summer @OfficialWexGAA will have better days’
Daithí Regan (@daithi_regan): ‘Inexperienced ref has decided to pull for every offence Galway v Wexford, not saying he is wrong but other refs let a lot of this go, slowing a player down, if they all reffed it like this it would cut out the horrible form of body tackle in hurling’
Karl O’Kane (@KarlOKane): ‘That’s some Galway defensive unit. Really settled. Burke, McInerney & Mannion immense. Kilkenny scored just 2-11. Wexford have 14 points in 65 minutes. Helps that teams so afraid of Galway forwards that u often have a sweeper at both ends but well able to defend man to man too.’
Aine Lacey (@ainelacey): ‘Why can’t certain players be taking off? Not the first day that they are shocking bad! #wexfordvsgalway’
Mikey Stafford (@me_stafford): ‘All credit to Galway, who are superb, but something odd in this Wexford team. When they malfunction, like against KK in league and tonight, they look leggy and lethargic. As if they trained the night before... which I assume they didn’t.’
Des Cahill (@sportsdes): ‘#Galway hurlers were awesome -#Wexford were flat. It’s quite clear that no team should have to play 3 games in 14 days or 4 games in 21 days. #JustSaying’
Matty Forde (@MattyForde15): ‘Any team having to play 4 weeks in a row or even 4 outa 5 is a disgrace. Is “player burnout” only an issue for the GAA when it suits them.without the players that they are flogging, there is no GAA’
Good Counsel College (@GCC_NewRoss): ‘Well done to our 1st yr football team, winners of the inaugural @gaaleinster A Final v @StPetersWexford 3.8 to 0.5. Some of the 1st years are double 1st Leinster Champs, double Juvenile Leinster Champs & Leinster Futsal Champs. Serious achievement! @OfficialWexGAA @KilkennyCLG’
David McDonald (@davidmcdonald31): ‘Mixed feelings today. Result didn’t go my way (10.52) PB all the same and (21.2) two world junior standards. After 2 years of sickness and injury never thought I’d get back to the position I’m in today. All from a Strong faith and a genius coach @mcwexford. The grind goes on’
Wexford Eagles (@WexfordEagles): ‘EAGLES MOVE TO 5-0 with a 57-8 victory over a mightily dogged and fantastically sporting @NDPirates’
