SHEDFEST 2018

This year’s much anticipate­d Shedfest will take place at the Arena, Buffers Alley on Saturday, June 23. Shedfest is one of the most popular festivals in the south east attracting huge crowds from across the region.

The festival line up has been revealed and it is sure to be a big hit. ‘Cornerboy’, who are our headline act, are firm favourites with the Shedfest faithful are back by popular demand with their own brand of Americana folk. Their new single ‘Goodbye Old Holy’ is out soon.

They will be supported by Wexford act ‘Fit For Kings’ who have just released a new single ‘Monster’ and are definitely ones to watch. This is the second year they will be performing at Shedfest and were winners of the Battle of the Bands in associatio­n with Beat FM two years ago.

Waterford band ‘No Hot Ashes’ return after wowing the crowd on the outside stage last year. The have a huge repertoire from country, blues to dance and rocked Shedfest last July. DJ Katie Quaid will keep the pedal to the metal with the latest chart hits and floor filling favourites.

Tickets, €20, will be on sale from club members and from the following outlets. The Book Café Gorey, Murt Walsh Menswear Enniscorth­y, Wexford Arts Centre, Hammel’s Kilmuckrid­ge, Porter’s Killenagh and Lawless’s Monamolin. Tickets will also be available online at wexfordart­scentre. ie Shedfest is strictly an over 18 event and ID will be required to gain entry.

Shedfest will feature two stages, three live bands, late bar, taxi rank, DJ, barbecue and the longest bar in Ireland. There will be a taxi rank operating all night and bookings can be organised through Mick Stamp Taxis. Chef Kennedy will have his barbecue fired up and food will be served till midnight. There will be competitio­ns, promotions and gossip in the run up to Shedfest and details can be found on our Facebook page.

The above will take place in Monamolin on Sunday, June 17, at 2 p.m. There will be no 10 a.m. Mass on that morning.

Nursery – This continues on Saturday mornings in Buffers Alley indoor arena-Developing Movement skills, balancing etc. All boys and girls and their parents welcome.
