GARDEN PARTY

Thanks to everybody who supported the coffee morning garden tea party last Sunday in Kilanerin. Thanks to everybody who baked, donated raffle prizes and helped out on the day.

BALLYFAD CHURCH

Morning Mass Wednesday and Thursday 9.30 a.m. Saturday 7.30 p.m. anniversar­y Mass Darragh D’Arcy Rathpierce also Patrick Byrne, John Tobin and the deceased members of the Byrne family (Tomcoyle). Sunday 9 a.m. Eucharisti­c adoration on Wednesday 10 a.m. to midday.

WHIST

First lady was Breda O’Connor, second lady was Lil Kavanagh, third lady was Meg Doyle and Half time lady was Eileen Fleming. First gent was Sadie Mordaunt, second gent was Bernie Walsh, third gent was Bet- ty Rose and half time gent was shared by Keith Bailey, Donal Kavanagh and Eilish Murphy. Raffle winners were Bernie Walsh, Mary McCarthy and May Murphy. Everyone from whist would like to wish Ross Bailey all the best in his Junior Cert. Whist continues on Wednesday night at 8.30 p.m.

PATRON

Kilanerin Patron will take place in Sunday, June 24. There will be prayers and blessing of graves starting at 2.30 p.m. Ballyfad Patron will take place on Sunday the 15th Prayers and blessing of graves will start at 1.30 p.m. followed by the field day.

HOUSE CALLS

Kilanerin Parish Finance Committee are starting organised visits to households in the parish to seek your support for the weekly envelope programme or if you wish to sign up for a bank standing order.

At the moment the parish is finding it difficult to meet its normal expenses. We conservati­vely estimate that only 40% of parishoner­s are registered. In the next three weeks we will be visiting households in the Pallas area. Please give them a kindly welcome and listening ear.

FIELD DAY

The will be a field day on Sunday, June 17, in the sportsfiel­d Kilanerin. All proceeds will be divided between Kilanerin NS and Ballythoma­s NS All support would be much appreciate­d.

COMMUNITY CENTRE CAFE

Kilanerin community centre café will be open Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. also Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop in and enjoy barista coffee, tea, cakes scones etc.
