‘Stolen’ tractor turns up in village without a scratch
THERE was a degree of mystery in Kiltealy yesterday after a tractor that had been reported stolen apparently turned up undamaged and in one piece at another location in the village.
Posts went viral on social media seeking the public’s assistance when a blue 161 New Holland tractor with distinctive Quicke loader was apparently stolen from a tractor run in Kiltealy on Sunday evening.
The posts, accompanied by pictures were shared around by people in the local area, with many expressing their disgust that it had been taken.
However, yesterday (Monday), a spokesperson for Enniscorthy gardaí said that the tractor had been recovered in the village. He said that there had been little or no damage caused and that it had been found that morning by the owner.
The spokesman said that no further details were available meaning that certain aspects of the disappearance and subsequent reappearance of the New Holland tractor remain a mystery.
