CASTLEDOCKRELL NS

We are very proud of our Active Flag in Castledockrell National School and every year we celebrate Active Week in June. This year the sun shone for the week so we did our ‘Wake Up, Shake Up’ every morning on the court. We also did some Kickboxing and Kung Fu lessons, had a teddy bears picnic, did active homework for the week and celebrated sports day on Thursday, June 21. Activities included relay races, water races, Zumba classes, an obstacle course, a bouncy castle, space hopper races, spud and spoon, sack races, three legged races, the high jump, uni-hockey matches and much, much more. We even had a parent’s race. It was a ‘Sport for all’ day and the focus was on being a team player and having fun.

We celebrated our ‘ End of Year/Graduation Mass’ on Tuesday, June 26. It was a lovely occasion for the graduates of 2018 and their families. We wish them well as they make the move to secondary school.

Castledockrell National School closed for the summer holidays on Friday, June 29, and reopens on Wednesday, August 29, at the new earlier opening time of 9 a.m. We wish the school community a happy and safe summer break. Castledockrellns.weebly. com.
