Legendary guitarist Tommy Harkenrider in Enniscorthy
ENNISCORTHY is set for the visit of some rock n’ roll royalty this Saturday night, July 14, as world famous guitarist Tommy Harkenrider arrives for a special show in the IFA Centre.
A native of Los Angeles, Harkenrider specialises in the good time party style known as Jump Blues which is described as the missing link between swing music and 50s rock and roll. With Enniscorthy being regarded as a real haven for all things rock n’ roll, Tommy is looking forward to checking the place out for himself on what will be the only Irish date on his European tour.
On the night, he will be flanked by the local musicians behind the hugely successful Creedence Clearwater Revival night in Holohan’s recently and it promises to be an absolute blast. As if that wasn’t enough, support will be provided by the star of Buddy the Musical Cado and his Delta Cats, as well as Rockin’ DJ Lewis Boogie.
The evening is a South East Rock n’ Roll Club event and all proceeds are to go towards funding its community based music events in conjunction with the Rockin’ Food Festival and the Strawberry Fair.
The show gets underway from 9 p.m.
